Wow.. who knew that there would be so many fake M.A.C products on the Market. Ebay appears to be swarming with them and we need to stop it. I went through just a few pages and found a handful of great pics that scream Fake-o-lah!!! Please purchase with caution. Special thanks to one of our pursebuzzers for providing this link. I dont understand why anyone would go through so much work to make “fake” MAC. Its not particularly the most expensive product line out there so how much profit could someone make after going through all the trouble of trying to make exact duplicates. Kind of a waste it sounds like.

Maybe the production is really cheap and they make more profit because they can pass it off as MAC? And sell a lot that way? I don’t know but it is pretty dumb. :/ I hope I’d be able to tell the difference; thanks a bunch for these posts! Sneaky…
When I see these auctions for fake products I contact the sellers to let them know the product they are bidding on aren’t authentic. Being an Ebay buyer I would hate to purchase something that wasn’t authentic. Besides the obvious appearance of the products the actual description is a give away itself. The actual name of the colors are never listed and described as “colors shown” or “colors in picture”. Also most of these fake items come from foreign countries like Hong Kong, China, Thailand, etc… I think if they continue to sell these fake MAC cosmetics the seller should at least be decent and fair and list that it isn’t authentic…

I agree with saphire, I don’t understand why anyone would even make ‘fake’ MAC when the real ones aren’t all that expensive. But I do remember seeing them selling even cheaper brands such as Loreal and Maybelline mascaras and lipgloss which I swear smells like melted plastic crayons. LOL!
I took a look @ the 3 eyeshadows I recently purchased on ebay and I think they’re fake! =( No more ebaying for me!
that is terrible, how are people ever going to tell really. if you really need good brushes, there are a lot of brands like japonesque that have good brushes too. even cosmetics like loreal etc. they may not be as good as mac but they’re better than fakes. i’ve purchased 2 fake mac brushes on ebay and i feel dumb because not only do they poke but after shopping around, i found that there are cheaper brushes that are softer and better quality, why bother gambling on ebay.
People make fake everything to try to earn an extra dollar :/ It’s kind of sad but they take advantage of buyers who don’t know any better. With the fake products thing, I mentioned this in the fake pigments news as well, that if you’re not sure and you want to bid, just ask the seller to provide more photos. If they don’t or they think it’s a waste of time, just move on and don’t buy from them.
I wonder what the quality of the fake pigments are. Granted, they can’t be as good as actual MAC… and it’s not right that they are trying to dupe them… but the colors do look nice. :-\

its realli annoying…i thought ebay wud be a good source for limited edition products….but now im too scared to buy anything….its becoming realli hard to tell whats real and whats not…im glad pursebuzz is doin this tho…we kno what to look out for….the people selling the stuff are realli cleverr….
I bought vanilla pigment from a reseller one time on ebay and as soon as I did I got panicky that I might’ve bought a fake. I read the documentation they have on ebay about how to tell if its fake or not posted from other resellers which made it seems like the real ones are sometimes hard to tell from the fakes. After I got it I was thankful it wasnt a fake and posted good feedback on the resellers comments that it was authentic mac for other people to see.
Ok update people I saw a good deal on ebay for the 187 brush which Ive been DYING to get and almost bought that cheap kohls $6 duplicate but thought is was too skimpy so I didnt. Its for 19.99 plus shipping and according to the fake MAC guides its supposed to come in clear plastic wrapping with a barcode sticker on it and thats how it looked in the picture. Plus the comments from the others who bought this brush from this seller checked out, so I went for it. I feel a bit better than I bought it with paypal so wish me luck! Or say I told you so…I guess well see.

I have a great fake pigment jar that I would love to show if someone could tell me where to post it at. As I was just scammed on ebay, but I got my money back and got to keep the fake.
people just need to stop ordering mac from other places other than mac.

This girl has some awesome replica MAC and she has tons of feedback in her blog, she’s sold to like 70 people. I loved the quality & the price is even better! You can get 3 pigments or shadows for $25, you can’t beat that! The quality is pretty much identical, I wouldn’t knock it. There’s cheap fakes and there’s some fakes that are amazing. And I LOVE these!!
IS ILEGAL TO SELL REPLICA PRODUCTS. I THINK SELLERS SHOULD BE HONEST TO THE BUYERS WHEN SELLING REPLICA. SOME PEOPLE DONT MIND TO BUY REPLICAS SINCE ITS CHEAP.
