Product name: Migi Nail Art
Packaging(is it cute): It comes in fun double sided colored pens! If you pull of the cap its a nice art pen and if you twist off the cap its a normal nail polish brush!
Quality: Effective, The nail polish isn’t watery or thin. All you really need is 1-2 coats if you are using it as a full nail polish. If you use is as an art pen its just as effective.
Overall: They’re fun and great. With a little imagination you really can create anything! You don’t exactly need to be an artist either, if you can simply paint your nais you can do this and create a variety of fun designs.
Price:$25.00
Pros: It’s very practically how its a pen as well as actually nail polish. There’s a decent amount so you don’t have to worry about running out too quickly. There are also a variety of colors in every box!
Cons: Since the pen part is extremely skinny the chances of it getting clogged is high, if you can find a skinny enough needle you might be able to unclog it, otherwise you might just have to keep pressing the paint hoping it’ll come out. The paint is supposed to come out according to how hard you squeeze but sometimes it doesn’t exactly do that.
Final Thoughts Overall i really liked it. I’ve used other nail polish pens before and i felt these to be very fun and useful. The simple fact that they’re a 2 in 1 is very appealing. Especially for the price, since pens by themselves can normally cost up to 5 dollars, they were very practical. Unforunatly they aren’t super accessible, i believe you have to purchase them online.

The Sally Hansen ones are waterbased, so they don’t stay and smudge easily. I think the Migi ones should be better since it’s the same as using a nail polish.

hehe, i agree, i barely have the patience to paint my nails. for the past three days i’ve been thinking “hmm i really should do my nails… ughh but then i wont be able to use my hands foreverrr!!..hm.. screw it!” so i have blank, bland nails at the moment. id still love to play with some of these, though!

hii, yea i want to get the Migi Nail Art too but…. shipping seem to be alot. Is this better than the Sally Hansen Nail Pen?… The pen seems easy to use and I love doing nail art so.. im still thinking if i should get it.

It’s a clever idea. Kind of like the nail pens they have in department stores except with a twist! I have a similar one from sally hansen http://www.sallyhansen.com/product.cfm?product=374 but it seems like its a little bit more unruly than the Migi because its thicker so I’ll have to definetly give this one a try!

I don’t really know if i would spend my money with something like this,
not that I dont like it, its awesome, but…with a simple (and very cheap) needle (and some practice) you can do pretty much the same!
It just takes a little bit more hability and patience! hehehehe

I love Migi Nail Art! I bought it at my county fair a couple of years ago, and mine still work! Good luck when you lend out to friends though! they love it so mich, they usually don’t return it.
LOL.
I think I also saw some similar products by Nicole in my local Wal-Mart. Even though I think Migi is cheaper and great product, some people may have reservations of buying online or don’t have the time to go to their county fair or a make up show.

snowflakes are easy, thats just lines, lol and i know julieg on youtube does a tutorial for them. and polka dots or stripes, of course. her nails were all intricate pictures, but with just a little creativity theres plenty of things even not-so-good drawers can do!

I like the snowman! it’s very cute. Perhaps try wiping the pen part w/acetone before putting it away? Maybe that would help w/the clogging.

those were my faves, and someone could do snowflakes (super easy, just lines crossing each other) on most of the fingers and then a christmas tree or snowman on the ring fingernail.

I heard somewhere that you get refills for free? is that true?
If you don’t really have an artistic side something that i got for christmas is very good. it’s called the nail art diva, there are different things you can get of it. it has nail polish that dries in amatter of minutes (alot faster than most nail polish,and it doesn’t half dry when you put it on like avon’s speed dry) it goes on smoothly. how it works is first you can pain your nails any colour you want from your own nail polish collection, then you choose your quick dry nail art diva shade and put it on design on one of the plates it comes with (there are designs that you use two colours or you can use just one). And its so simple to use, all you need to do is put the plate on the contraption it comes with, and your finger on the other side. Place a dab of the quick dry nail polish on the design you chose and slide the “stamp” over it and then slide it on to your nail. It works very well and its sooooo easy. also the designs are cute. mine was bought in Canada at a rug store for about $20.

I purchased a few of the sets from migi previously, but I was just shopping around the mall - Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, CA and came across a cart selling these nail art pens, which are great as they have a better color combination going on, as well as new glittery colors with the 2 way nail art.
