I have been using Praline Rose for the past few weeks and I love it. But before you click the buy now button please read on because I experienced some growing pains when working with this product.

I love semi permanent lip color because that means I don’t have to reapply the color all day. I don’t mind reapplying clear gloss because that doesn’t require a mirror or concentration.

  • Shake  the tube to mix up the product
  • Apply one coat of lip product, wait for it to dry and then paint on two more layers(give it a few seconds between each coat). Remember left to right and don’t go back and forth.
  • About a minute or two you will experience a tingly feeling (think lip plumping ). This will go away, don’t lick it cause it won’t taste good. LOL
  • Apply the specially formulated gloss. If you use your regular gloss you might experience the lip paint peeling. So I would either experiment or skip using your regular gloss. This is normal for semi permanent paint.
  • I recommend applying your gloss every time you start to taste the lipsense. It tastes like when you spray perfume and accidently get some in your mouth (but not that extreme).  Once the gloss is on you won’t taste the paint anymore.

To Remove ( I couldn’t remove the lipsense without an oil base product):

I used my Boscia Face Cleanser to remove the product. But you can also use Olive Oil, Almond Oil or Coconut Oil.  Remember to exfoliate your lips prior to application for best results.

Pros:

  • Last all day until you remove it
  • Perfect for photoshoots, wedding day, special occasions. Holiday Season is here!!!
  • The color does not come off when you drink, kiss, or do whatever you do
  • The gloss is not sticky, it feels more like a thick gel

Cons:

  • If you don’t apply the gloss your lips will be dry due to the paint. (This is typical of long lasting lip products)
  • You can taste the lip paint when the gloss wears out, but that doesn’t happen until the gloss is gone.. just make sure you use it every few hours I applied the about every 3-4 hours.

Overall I love the lipsense product. But I am a huge fan of these long wearing lipsticks.  I don’t recommend this for everyday use but a few times a week is perfect.  I find that when I used it 4 days in a row my lips were too dry. I felt a subtle lip plump effect, just enough to notice that the lines on my lips were gone so that is good. I even used the gloss on its own a few times.  The best part is you aren’t committed to the type of gloss and color. You can mix and match for the perfect look. :) The actual lipsense will last about 6-12 months depending on how often you use it.  The gloss on avg lasts about 3 months.

I am a dental hygienist, and when my patients come in with lipstick, I usually have them take it off, or it will be all over the face by the end of the appointment. NOT with this stuff. I was impressed when one of my patients came in wearing this stuff, and it didn’t budge after her 1 hour appointment. I used to use it until I ran out, and the shop that sold it closed down…glad I know where I can order it!!! It’s worth you money, ladies!
