As of August 25, 2008 these are my favorite products. I am sure that as time progresses I will have new favorites.

Favorite Hair Sprays

Favorite leave in Conditioner

Favorite Serums for Frizz-

Favorite Deep Conditioners-

Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner- Using for 5 years off and on (Thanks Beth!)

  • Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo
  • Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor- Can be used daily and for deep conditioning

Favorite Curling Irons

I personally love use gold series Hot Tools and Helen of Troy (more info here) curling irons. I like how quickly it heats up and curls my hair. Every professional stylist I have met and visited used these two brands. These are inexpensive compared to high end ceramic and tourmaline curling irons, but they get the job done. Always use a heat protective spray prior to curling hair.

1 ¼ curling iron – Great for waves, large curls and flip outs Gold Series Spring Curling Irons

3/4 curling iron- Great for curls, ringlets, ribbon curls, and structured curled styles Gold Series Spring Curling Irons

But I am always looking for something better.

Favorite Flat Iron

  • GHD Flat iron. I don’t care which one it is, they are amazing.
  • Chi Flat irons- 2nd place.  I love these too, but GHD makes straightening and curling a snap :)
  • Hot Tools - Inexpensive but does the job

Prior to Heating Hair Spray

This product is great for those shiny stiff, crisp curls used for special occasions. Your hair won’t budge an inch, but will look great in pics. Used prior to curling. It will sizzle if you don’t let your hair dry before you curl.

Isoplus Hot Hot Hot Thermal Curler- Available at Sally’s

Hot Rollers

Profiles Spa Tourmaline Hot Rollers – Available at Sally’s. I find that hot rollers seem to be pretty consistent among most brands. I would just get a set that has the style and look you like.

Babyliss Hot Rollers- Great for those with lots of hair. -Beautychoice.com

Snap on Plastic Rollers

Doesn’t matter where you purchase these just make sure you have enough. I use about two packages on my head. I like to mix med and large sizes all around my head after curling with my ¾ or 1 ¼ inch curling iron. This is the secret to long lasting curls. I bought mine at the 99 cent store. J (The more you have in your hair the curlier it will be)

Prior to Curling

I like to use a product that will dry in my hair and give it texture that the curling iron can get a hold of. If you have really slick hair then I definitely recommend a curling boosting product. I prefer to use Le Coupe Define Curl Shaping Lotion available at Ulta. I use this in my wet hair. Then once it is dry I can start curling. You can use this in addition to your heat protectant spray. The Shaping lotion will help give you long lasting curls.

My Hair dresser is located in Redlands, CA. I have been going to her for about 5 years and I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. I travel a good 2.5 or so hours to see her. So she has to be good :)
