Beauty From The Earth Swatches

March 11, 2010 by admin

I wrote this post before seeing their latest twitter. I am going to leave this up.

My heart and prayers goes out to Crystal’s family. I will leave this post up because I am sure that any purchases made will contribute to any financial responsibilities that are needed. But I am going to take any other sad words off line since I want it to remain private. XO Elessa

Beauty from the Earth mineral shadows have been one of my favorite mineral shadows for a long time. I’ve known the Crystal for over 3 years and she has been always super kind and supportive of vloggers. She was one of the first supporters and did a huge giveaway for pursebuzz.com back in early 2007. I am so happy that at the recent visit to TMS we were FINALLY able to meet  in person.

She gave me this bag with a bunch of samples to try out and have some fun. Since I was doing that I figured I’d snap some pics while I was at it.

I am going to do a full review tomorrow. It took ages to do swatches but I did pick out my super faves. I am gonna do some quick looks too <3

Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer

Monday’s Must Have Product

While at The Make Up Show I was introduced to this amazing product. As many of you know I struggle with my brows. I just pretty much hate them and love to hide them with my bangs :)

I hate them because they are sparse, super droopy and I just hate spending time on them. But after using this product for a week I am in love. It doesn’t feel stiff and doesn’t flake at all. My brows were in place all day and I just had to apply it once in the morning.

Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer will hold natural brow or any brow make up. Just pick your favorite applicator. The mascara wand for your thicker fuller more natural brow, the brush for you gals with a finer penciled brow. Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer won’t dust, shine or flake. It is easily removed with warm water and your favorite cleanser. For use on eyebrows only.

This little bottle will last forever and what a super value at only $12  Modelinabottle.com

Sexy and Funky Mad Hatter Look ~ Alice in Wonderland~

Filed under Cosmetic Tutorials, Looks 4 Inspiration

Are you dressing up for the Movie? If you aren’t it is ok too.. Maybe a fun St. Paddy’s Day look?

Here is another blast from the past… 2009 ; ) Ok so not that long ago.

Here is a fun look inspired by Alice in Wonderland and specifically the Mad Hatter.  I had so much fun doing two looks for an old tutorial I wanted to do it again for this look. I felt like the Mad Hatter was a little off colour and what better way to interpret that than with our eyes :)

I used a lot of products below but you really just need some green and a little imagination :)

Oscar Nominee Beauty Predictions by Milani Cosmetics

March 5, 2010 by admin

Milani highlights some beauty looks we might expect to see (or hope to see) on some of the leading ladies (Sandra, Carey, Gabourey, Penelope) this Sunday!

Actress in a Leading Role:

Sandra Bullock in “The Blind Side” Sandra Bullock wore a gorgeous purple dress to Golden Globes, and we would love to see that color incorporated into her makeup. She has beautiful brown eyes, so using Milani Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows in Couture in Purples for eyeshadow, Liquif’eye Black as liner, toping it off with Milani’s Power Lash would make her eyes very impactful.

My girl over at yoursweettreat.com is having a giveaway so if you are into the sweets.. I recommend going to her site to check it out. I usually wear huge rhinestone rings but lately they have been replaced by these delectable deserts.  I hope she makes some ice cream cones, popsicles and cupcakes soon.. that would be perfect for Summertime.  If you are like me and never win at contest but want to buy something you can go to her ebay site here.

Check out the details on the first ring.. yay!!!

Disclaimer: I got these  rings as a gift. I am not paid to promote her site or her products. I just think her products are super cute. I appreciate her creativity and the desire to turn her love of art into something more to share with the world :)

Lime Crime Lipstick Swatches Candyfuture Opaque Lipstick

Opaque lipstick is for not the faint of heart.  I personally love things that remind of me of my childhood and this one really hits it close to home. The packaging is super girly and cute. The pigmentation of the lipstick is intense but make sure you prep before you apply these colors.

I’d like to introduce to you my first and only little pony. Growing up I didn’t have a lot of toys but the ones I did have I sure loved to pieces.

I’d like you to meet My Little Pony. She was the first toy that had hair.. and the obsession with hair styling began. If you look real closely the braid from the mid 80’s is still intact :P
